Pamela Ekstrom

Pamela Ekstrom, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Pamela currently holds the position of Sr Business Applications Analyst at SWCA Environmental Consultants since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member/Treasurer at Minnesota Future Problem Solvers starting in 2019.

From 2019 to 2023, Pamela worked at Bay West LLC, where they held the role of Director of Accounting from 2020 to 2023 and Accounting Manager from 2019 to 2020. In these roles, they managed accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Pamela also led the Deltek Costpoint upgrade and implemented ADP Benefits & Recruitment modules. Additionally, they handled the annual DCAA Indirect rate submission.

Before joining Bay West LLC, Pamela worked at J&B Group from 2011 to 2019. In this period, they held the position of Financial Reporting & Payables Manager from 2012 to 2019. Pamela managed a team of three AP/PCard clerks and implemented automated solutions to improve efficiency. Pamela was also a Senior Accountant/Financial Reporting Specialist from 2011 to 2012, where they played a core role in the Lawson M3 ERP Implementation project and developed Crystal Reports and SQL queries.

Prior to that, Pamela worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Lawson Software from 2008 to 2011. From 2000 to 2008, they were a Senior Financial Analyst at Merrill Corporation, where they handled sales and compensation analysis, variance analysis, forecasting, and revenue and margin reporting.

Pamela began their career as a Contract Employee at Robert Half International in 2000, where they took on various temporary assignments. Before that, they worked as an AP/AR Associate Accountant at Preferred One in 1998 and as an AP Administrator at DTN from 1996 to 1998.

Through their work experience, Pamela has gained expertise in financial analysis, accounting management, ERP implementation, and business applications analysis. Pamela'scomprehensive background makes their a valuable asset in their current role at SWCA Environmental Consultants.

Pamela Ekstrom, MBA, has a strong educational background in business administration and accounting. In 1995, they graduated from Metro State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting and Liberal Arts from Inver Hills Community College in 1990. Recently, Pamela completed their Master's degree in Business Administration from Bethel University in 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Pamela has also acquired various certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2016, they obtained a Lean Bronze Knowledge Certificate from SME and became a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
