Rachel McCracken

Rachel McCracken has a diverse work experience in the environmental field. Rachel is currently working as a Project Environmental Planner at SWCA Environmental Consultants. Prior to this, they were a Senior Biologist at Condor Country Consulting, Inc. Rachel also has experience as an Environmental Inspector at Insignia Environmental, and as a Wildlife Biologist at Applied Technology & Science (A-T-S) and Californian Environmental Services. Rachel has gained hands-on experience in wildlife conservation and monitoring through their role as a Wildlife Biologist at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), as well as through a Wildlife Biology Internship at Ventana Wildlife Society. Additionally, Rachel has volunteered at the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley, where they provided care for injured wildlife. Rachel also worked as an Environmental Camp Counselor at Coastal Watershed Council, where they led educational activities on watershed protection. Rachel's experience also includes working as a Referee/Coach for USA Water Polo, where they officiated youth water polo competitions.

Rachel McCracken received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies with a Concentration in Conservation Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2014 and 2015, they obtained a Certificate in Wildlife Science Technician from De Anza College.
