Markus Klar

Markus Klar is a highly experienced professional in environmental science, currently serving as a Chemicals Administrative Official at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency since April 2020, while also holding the position of Senior Scientific Officer at the Swedish Chemicals Agency since August 2013. With a strong background in risk and exposure assessment, as well as legislation regarding pesticides and biocides, Markus Klar has contributed to various impactful initiatives, including assessments related to endocrine disruptors and hazardous substances. Previous roles include consultancy work on environmental screening and academic research focused on the ecological impacts of agriculture, culminating in a PhD from Uppsala University in Population Biology.
