Isabella Aslan

Isabella Aslan is a Case Officer for Labour Migration at the Swedish Migration Agency, responsible for processing work permit applications since September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Coordinator for the Swedish Middle East & North Africa network at The Swedish Institute of International Affairs, where the organization of the Second Annual SWEMENA Conference took place in August 2023. Isabella also completed a traineeship at the European Parliament focused on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Migration, and Social Affairs. Additionally, a background in retail sales and project management, including a community engagement project for refugee children, complements previous roles. As a semi-professional badminton athlete, Isabella represented Sweden at various international competitions. Isabella holds two Master’s degrees from Lund University in Social Studies of Gender and Middle Eastern Studies, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Malmö University.
