Chris Nubern has over 30 years of work experience in the procurement industry. Chris has held various leadership roles at different companies including Sweet Harvest Foods, Flagstone Foods, and Kraft Foods. At Sweet Harvest Foods, Chris served as the Chief Procurement Officer, responsible for setting strategy for a global supply chain. As Vice President of Procurement at Flagstone Foods, they oversaw major customers such as Walmart, Sam's Club, Costco, and Target. During their time at Kraft Foods, Chris held multiple positions, including Director of Nut Procurement and Associate Director of Commodity Research. Chris also gained experience in economic research as the Director of Economic Research at the National Milk Producers Federation. Chris started their career as a Salesperson at Goldkist Store. Overall, they have a strong background in procurement, commodity research, risk management, and economic analysis.
Chris Nubern completed their education with a Ph.D in Economics with a Marketing Emphasis from Virginia Tech in 1996. Prior to that, they obtained their MS in Economics with a Marketing Emphasis from the University of Florida in 1993. Chris'sundergraduate degree, a BBA in Economics with an Agribusiness Emphasis, was earned from Georgia Southern University in 1991.
