Rahul Bhargava has extensive work experience in the banking and payments industry. Rahul started their career at Times Online Money Limited as a Product Manager, where they focused on cross-border remittances and domestic electronic bill payment processing. Rahul then moved to ICICI Bank as a Product Manager, responsible for the bank's inward remittance business and the design and implementation of online remittance and donation facilities. Following this, Rahul worked at Computer Sciences Corporation as a Lead Business Analyst, specializing in retail core banking and payments solutions. Rahul later joined the Royal Bank of Scotland as an Assistant Vice President, overseeing project implementation and business interface. Rahul then transitioned to Accenture as a Manager in the Banking & Financial Services Consulting division. Rahul subsequently joined NTT Data Corporation as the Head of Strategic Projects & Financial Services Practice in the APAC region, where they led the regional financial services strategy and practice. Rahul also worked at the World Economic Forum as the Lead of the WEF Digital ASEAN e-Payments Coalition. Currently, they are at SWIFT, where they hold the position of Global Head of Payments Market Infrastructure (PMI) Strategy.

Rahul Bhargava completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Technology & Management Systems from Symbiosis International University from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics (Honors) from Delhi University from 1997 to 2000. Additionally, they received an Advanced Diploma in Network-centric Computing from NIIT Ltd. from 1997 to 1999. Rahul's earlier education took place at AFBBS from 1984 to 1997, although specific degree and field of study information is not available.
