J. Carlos Kuri

J. Carlos Kuri has extensive experience in the legal field, having worked at various companies and law firms. J. Carlos currently serves as an Advisory Board Member at SERMA since March 2022. Previously, they held the role of Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at SXSW starting from October 2021. J. Carlos also served as the SVP and Chief Legal Officer at HEINEKEN USA from December 2019 to October 2021. Before that, J. Carlos Kuri worked at Red Bull, where they held the positions of SVP and General Counsel from November 2013 to December 2019 and Vice President and General Counsel at Red Bull New York from October 2011 to April 2014. J. Carlos started their career as the Director of Legal Affairs at Red Bull from 2008 to October 2011. Prior to joining Red Bull, they worked as an Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP from October 2006 to August 2008 and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP from 2003 to 2006.

J. Carlos Kuri started their education in 1996 at The University of Texas at Austin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Plan II. J. Carlos attended this institution until 2000. Following this, they went on to study at the University of Virginia School of Law from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree.
