Michelle Kemling is the current Chief People Officer at Syapse. Prior to their current position, Michelle held the title of Head of Talent Development at Twilio Inc. from July 2014 to September 2018. In this role, Michelle was responsible for leading and building the Talent Development function at Twilio with a focus on enabling Twilions to innovate, scale, and grow. This included setting strategy, building and facilitating innovative programs for leadership and employee development, performance acceleration (goal setting, succession, on-going feedback, talent reviews to support internal mobility), career development, coaching, on-boarding, employee engagement, and other programs to drive a learning and growth culture.

Before their time at Twilio Inc., Michelle was a Senior Business Leader and Global HR Business Partner at Visa from May 2012 to July 2014. In this role, Michelle was a strategic thought partner to the executives leading North America’s Client groups, Global Product groups, Strategy, Government Relations, Corporate Development/M&A, and Visa’s Canadian office which supported 900+ employees. Michelle was also responsible for leading a team of HRBP's and ensuring leadership and seamless execution of key HR strategies and deliverables in partnership with HR functional counterparts globally. Michelle focused on building relationships with business leaders and being a catalyst in delivering HR solutions that supported the specific needs of each business function and overall business objectives during a time of significant organizational transformation.

Michelle Kemling has a Bachelors in Finance from Michigan State University and a Masters in Business Leadership from Madonna University. Michelle is certified from New Ventures West in Professional Coaching Certification, LinkedIn in Jeff Weiner on Managing Compassionately, and Coaching to Excellence. Michelle is also certified from Korn Ferry Hay Group in ECI 360, Community At Work in Group Facilitation Skills, and HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument).

Their manager is Ken Tarkoff, CEO. They work with Alissa Winzeler-Cotton - SVP, Strategy, Research & Medicine, Dennis Cieri - VP, Engineering, and Fletcher Payne - CFO.
