Tim Gossett

VP, Software Engineering at SyBridge Technologies

Tim Gossett has a solid work history in the technology industry. Tim began their career as a PHP Developer at the University of Florida, where they worked as a full-stack LAMP developer managing web properties. Tim then started their own company, MrGossett LLC, where they focused on full-stack web development and managed e-commerce sites. After that, Tim joined American Nautical Services, Inc. as a Web Developer and later as a Sales & Marketing Manager, where they transitioned e-commerce sites to a hosted platform.

In 2013, Tim joined Citrix as a Lead Software Developer and later became a Principal Cloud Architect. Here, they led teams and gained experience in DevOps with Docker and AWS. Tim also worked alongside core contributors to the Go language and Docker projects. Following their time at Citrix, Tim moved on to MDLIVE, Inc. as a Principal DevOps Engineer, implementing DevOps best practices and mentoring junior developers.

Tim then worked at Magic Leap as the Head of Engineering for Magicverse, where they designed cloud-based systems and led their implementation. Tim also contributed to conversations about cryptography, security, and distributed systems.

Prior to their current role, Tim was the VP of Engineering at Bellhops, where they oversaw engineering operations. Tim's role evolved when Bellhops was acquired by SyBridge Technologies and they became the VP, Distinguished Engineer.

Currently, Tim is the VP of Software Engineering at SyBridge Technologies, where they continue to utilize their leadership skills and technical expertise.

Tim Gossett earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a field of study in Decision & Information Science from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from Broward College, attending from 2001 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Tim obtained several certifications. In 2014, they became a Certified ScrumMaster through the Scrum Alliance. Later, in 2016, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. In 2017, they achieved the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Professional, and AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certifications, all from Amazon Web Services. Tim also holds the Certified Incident Responder and PagerDuty Foundational Practitioner certifications from PagerDuty, which they obtained in 2020.
