Valerie Alain-Rizzo

Valerie Alain-Rizzo is a highly accomplished scientist with extensive experience in chemistry and materials science. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist and Project Manager at Syensqo since December 2023, Valerie has previously held similar roles at Solvay from March 2019 to November 2023, contributing significantly to the development of novel natural polymers and derivitized molecules for various industries. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Vorbeck, where Valerie directed research and development efforts for battery materials, and an academic background as an Associate Professor at École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, mentoring numerous graduate and undergraduate students. Valerie holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from École Normale Supérieure and has a rich history in research collaborations and project management across multiple sectors, including organic synthesis and material characterization.
