Niki Giles

Niki Giles has extensive work experience in the financial and asset management industry. Niki currently holds the role of Chief Financial Officer at Sygnia Asset Management since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Prescient as the Head of Governance, Risk and Compliance from 2021 to 2023, and as Head of Investor Services and Product from 2019 to 2021. Niki took a sabbatical from their self-employed work in 2018. Between 2006 and 2018, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Sygnia Asset Management. Niki's career began at Deloitte in 2002, where they worked as a Manager until 2005. Niki also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at African Harvest from 2005 to 2006.

Niki Giles has a strong educational background in finance and accounting. Niki obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town in 1997. Prior to that, they completed their B.Bus.Sci degree in Finance at the same university, from 1993 to 1996.

In addition to their degrees, Niki has pursued various certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Niki obtained a Diploma in Investment Compliance from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in November 2022. In November 2021, they earned a Certificate in Investment Operations from the same institution. Furthermore, Niki obtained the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 2002. Niki also became a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) through SAICA in February 2001.
