Genesis V.

Genesis V. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2011, Genesis participated in an eight-month photography-based program at The Studio Museum in Harlem, where they learned digital photography, co-curated a show, and exhibited their photographs. They also represented the museum at a workshop on teens, art, and technology. In 2012, Genesis became a Resident Advisor at Allegheny College, mentoring undergraduates and upholding college standards for safety and conduct. They held this role until 2015. In 2013, Genesis worked as a Mellon Fellow, collaborating with the Art History Department Chair to develop a social media app highlighting historic sites in Northwest Pennsylvania. They contributed articles, photographs, and presentations, conducted interviews and research, and recorded and edited videos. Genesis also received training in oral history. In 2016, Genesis held multiple roles simultaneously, including Operations Associate and Instructor at the School in the Square Public Charter School, Gallery Assistant at Long Gallery Harlem, and Program Assistant at The Studio Museum in Harlem. They stayed in these roles until 2018. In 2021, Genesis worked as a Predictive Analytics Consultant at Altana Technologies for a short time before joining an unnamed company as a Software Engineer. In 2022, Genesis joined Symbiont as a Software Engineer.

Genesis V. attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a degree in Studio Art. They then attended Allegheny College from 2011 to 2015, but it is not specified what degree or field of study they pursued during their time there.
