Jessica Dowling Hammer

Jessica Dowling Hammer has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience and technology. Jessica is currently working as the Senior Director of UX & Tech Writing at symplr since March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for leading the UX, Research, Design System, and Tech Writing functions. Prior to this, they served as the Director of User Experience at symplr from January 2020 to April 2022, where they led the company's growing UX, Research, Design System, and Tech Writing teams.

Before joining symplr, Jessica worked at Splunk as a Senior UX Designer from May 2018 to January 2020. Jessica'sresponsibilities included leading and managing UX strategy projects for Splunk.com and other web properties, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the customer experience.

From April 2016 to March 2018, they worked at G-ABLE as the Head of UX and Business Development. Jessica'srole involved leading the UX process and evangelism within the Business Development unit, hiring and training UX designers, and setting UX standards for new product teams. Additionally, they also served as a Product Owner/Project Director from April to December 2016 at G-ABLE, where they led an agile development team in building a marketplace for Thai startups to sell apps to businesses.

Prior to their roles at G-ABLE, Jessica worked at Arrow Consulting & Design as the Manager of Digital Strategy from January 2014 to October 2015, and as a UX Designer from August 2012 to January 2014. Jessica also gained experience as a Web Designer at MediaWhiz Holdings LLC from January 2010 to August 2012 and at MoreVisibility from August 2007 to October 2008.

Jessica Dowling Hammer completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Media- Graphic Design from the University of Central Florida between 2001 and 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Fort Myers High School. Jessica also possesses a Nielsen Norman Group UX Certificate, obtained at an unspecified time.
