Dr. Norbert A. Braun

Dr. Norbert A. Braun has over 20 years of extensive work experience. Dr. Norbert A. served as the Vice President of Innovation & QC for Scent & Care in Asia Pacific at Symrise AG from January 2014 onwards. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President of Innovation & Technology for Fragrances in Asia Pacific at Symrise AG from February 2005 to December 2013. Dr. Braun also worked as the Manager of Industrial Applications/Fragrance Research from April 2003 to February 2005, the Integration Coordinator for Research & Development and Quality & Regulatory from August 2002 to March 2003, and as a Senior Research Chemist from July 1999 to August 2002 at Symrise AG. Dr. Norbert A. has also been appointed as a Board Member of the Board of Governors at GESS - German European School Singapore starting from December 2022. Prior to working at Symrise AG, Dr. Braun served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rice University from July 1997 to June 1999.

Dr. Norbert A. Braun has a diverse education history. Dr. Norbert A. began their academic journey at Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium from 1978 to 1987, where they completed their Abitur. Dr. Norbert A. then pursued a teaching degree at the University of Hohenheim from 1988 to 1994, specializing in Chemistry and Biology. Following this, they obtained a doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from the same university, achieving a Dr. rer. nat. (Natural Product Synthesis) from 1994 to 1997. Dr. Braun further expanded their knowledge and expertise by undertaking postdoctoral research at Rice University from 1997 to 1999, focusing on Organic Synthesis.
