👋 Alan Jenkins

Alan Jenkins has been working in the tech industry since 2009. 👋 began their career as a Support Centre Technician at MessageLabs, where they were responsible for monitoring the MessageLabs infrastructure, writing updates on incidents, and dealing with hardware failures in remote data centres. In 2011, they joined Symantec as a Software Engineer, where they were tasked with fixing bugs and adding features to the internal monitoring systems of the Symantec cloud infrastructure. 👋 then moved to Fasthosts Internet Ltd in 2016 as a Server Support Advisor. In 2017, they joined Claranet as a Site Reliability Engineer, and currently holds the same role at SYNALOGiK Innovative Solutions Limited, which they joined in 2021.

Alan Jenkins' education history includes a BTEC National Diploma in Software Development from Gloucestershire College, which they obtained between 2003 and 2009. 👋 also obtained an HND in Computing and Systems Development from Gloucestershire College between 2012 and 2014, with a focus on Computing, Project Management, System Design and Testing. In addition, Alan Jenkins has obtained several certifications from Code School and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Staying Sharp with Angular.js (2015), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (2021), AWS Certified Security - Specialty (2020), Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate (2019), Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate (2018), and several others.
