Mitchell Lee is the current Chief Risk Officer at Synctera. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Fintech at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from March 2014 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Fintech, Country Analysis, and Outreach programs focused on promoting responsible, inclusive innovation in the financial system. Mitchell also worked with Board policymakers in DC on fintech-related issues, consulted with bank examiners on fintech topics such as crypto and banking-as-a-service, and connected with other external stakeholders such as fintechs and other advocacy groups.

Before their role at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Mitchell Lee was a Financial Services Advisory Manager at EY from June 2006 to February 2014. In this role, they led consulting projects focused on financial regulation and enterprise risk management for large financial institutions including banks and asset managers.

Lee has a long history of working in the financial services industry and has been instrumental in promoting responsible innovation in the sector. Mitchell is a respected leader in the field of fintech and their work has helped shape the direction of the industry.

Mitchell Lee has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from The Wharton School, a Master's in Accounting from University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's of Science in Finance from University of Florida. Mitchell is certified from the California Board of Accountancy in CPA (inactive).
