CherRon Salemma has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as a Flight Attendant for America West Airlines in 2003 before moving on to work as a Surety Account Manager at Lovitt & Touche, Inc. in 2004. At Sierra Tucson, they served as a Marketing Analyst from 2005 to 2007, where they recruited and mentored a marketing team and implemented an online expense system. From 2007 to 2008, they held the position of Assistant Business Office Manager at CarMax, overseeing recruiting, training, and scheduling for a team of associates.
In 2009, CherRon joined Edward Jones as a Senior Operations Specialist, where they were responsible for training and mentoring new associates and maintaining vendor relationships. They then transitioned to the University of Phoenix in 2010, holding various roles such as Doctoral Academic Counselor, covering Student Services Manager, and Faculty Development Administrator. During this time, they also served as an Institutional Review Board (IRB) Committee Member and an Associate Faculty in the College of Humanities.
After leaving the University of Phoenix in 2019, CherRon joined Deloitte as a Consultant, specializing in the field of instructional design. They then returned to Synergis Education, Inc. and worked as an Instructional Designer from 2015 to 2017, before being promoted to Lead Instructional Designer from 2017 to 2019. They rejoined Synergis Education, Inc. in 2020 as Manager of Professional Development and later became the Director of Instructional Design in 2021. During their tenure, they achieved significant success in leading their team, with seven promotions and the successful development of numerous courses.
In 2021, CherRon also took on the role of Institutional Review Board (IRB) Committee Member at Saybrook University. Throughout their work experience, CherRon has demonstrated expertise in instructional design, program management, mentorship, team leadership, and relationship building.
CherRon Salemma completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Business Economics at the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business from 1994 to 1999. Later, in 2009, CherRon attended the University of Phoenix and obtained a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Adult Education and Training. The following year, in 2010, CherRon pursued another Master of Arts in Education, this time in Curriculum and Instruction, also at the University of Phoenix.
In addition to these degrees, CherRon has obtained multiple certifications. In 2019, CherRon achieved the ITIL 4 Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice and the Professional Scrum Master I (PSMI) certification from Scrum.org. In 2018, CherRon completed the OLC and Open SUNY Instructional Designer Certificate Program and became a trainer for the OLC and Open SUNY Course Quality Review (OSCQR). CherRon also attended the Human Research Group 1.Social/Behavioral Research Investigator and Key Personnel Refresher course offered by CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2021.
More recently, in 2022 and 2023, CherRon earned several certifications from the Star 6 Sigma Global Academy, including Lean Six Sigma White Belt, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Intermediate Excel Professional, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Additionally, CherRon obtained the ATI Champion designation from ATI Testing in 2023.
