Sharath Mulamalla

Sharath Mulamalla has a diverse range of work experience in finance and strategic leadership roles. Sharath began their career at PepsiCo, where they worked in accounting, strategic analysis, and customer finance from 2001 to 2009. Sharath then co-founded Ro's Beverages, LLC, where they played a key role in launching a wellness drink and managing various aspects of the business. From 2011 to 2013, Sharath worked as a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, providing strategic guidance to clients in the retail industry. Sharath then joined Diageo, where they held positions as Divisional CFO and Finance Director, overseeing financial operations and partnering with senior executives. Following their time at Diageo, Sharath joined JLL as the Global Head of Finance for Flex by JLL, where they successfully launched a new business in the flexible space industry and scaled it to around 50 employees. Their most recent role was as the U.S. CFO at Akuo, a position they held from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Sharath works as the Finance Lead for Global Seeds E2E Strategy & Planning at Syngenta.

Sharath Mulamalla pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance at the Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Sharath attended this institution from 1997 to 2001. Later on, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business between 2007 and 2009.
