José Miguel Abreu

José Miguel Abreu is a Software Team Manager at Synopsys Inc since January 2016, overseeing the development and testing of Linux Kernel drivers and applications for DesignWare Interface IPs. Responsibilities include coordinating software activities, leading software implementation and architecture efforts, defining and improving processes, and monitoring team metrics and performance. Previously, José Miguel worked as a Software Engineer, contributing to the Linux community through Linux Kernel Driver development. In early 2015, José Miguel served as a Research Intern at INESC Technology and Science, developing a dissertation project focused on "Musical Orchestration Using an Artificial Immune System." José Miguel holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto and completed high school in Sciences and Technologies at Escola EB 2,3/S de Lanheses.
