Mercedes McGee has been a Product Designer at T-REX since 2021. From 2014 to 2021, they were a Product Designer at Liquidnet, where they were responsible for refining workflows and wireframes in collaboration with product managers and business analysts for data driven software interfaces. From 2004 to 2014, they were the Associate Director of User Experience (Interface Design), Senior Art Director in Creative Services, and Art Director in Conferences at SourceMedia. From 2003 to 2004, they were a Freelance Art Director for Communique Advertising, Furman Roth Advertising, Panasonic, Seton Hall University, FHM Magazine, The Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy and Thomson Media. From 2000 to 2003, they were an Art Director at AKA:, where they consulted and collaborated with Executive Director, clients and staff artists to define needs, develop concepts and create advertising, marketing collateral and direct-mail pieces. From 1998 to 2000, they were an Art Director and Graphic Artist at EDELMAN PUBLIC RELATIONS, where they consulted with clients and account executives to define need, scope and budget of internal and client print collateral, organized and directed photo shoots, and produced and designed collateral materials for outside clients.

Mercedes McGee has an education history that spans from 1990 to present. Mercedes attended Choate Rosemary Hall from 1990 to 1992, followed by The George Washington University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts/Graphic Design. Mercedes then attended New York University from 2007 to 2007, where they earned a SCPS Certificate in Marketing. Mercedes has been attending General Assembly since 2018, where they are currently pursuing a Data Analytics course, as well as a Product Design Intensive course.
