Joy Keller possesses extensive experience in quality and patient safety management within the healthcare sector. Serving as Vice President of Quality and Safety at Tamarack Health Hayward Medical Center and Ashland Medical Center since July 2022, Joy oversees quality initiatives across multiple facilities, including Ashland Memorial Medical Center and Hayward Area Memorial Hospital. Previous roles include Director of Quality at Amery Hospital & Clinic and Laboratory Director at Amery Regional Medical Center. Joy's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Medical Technology and Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Our 25 bed critical access hospital is connected to medical clinics, a long term care center and assisted and independent living apartments. We offer specialty services including orthopedics and urology, and area primary care physicians have privileges to see and treat patients in the hospital and Water’s Edge. Hayward Area Memorial Hospital & Water’s Edge employs over 390 people. The hospital was designed to aid in the restoration of health. Large private rooms support patient privacy. A sleeping couch in each patient room allows someone to stay with a young child or critically ill relative, in addition, attractive waiting areas support family involvement. An active volunteer organization assists staff in meeting the needs of patients and their families.
