Alex Morris

Alex Morris is the current Project Manager at Tangent Design Engineering. Prior to this, Alex worked as a Process Engineering E.I.T with Wood from July 2019 to April 2020, where they assisted in the technical document preparation and delivery for projects within Suncor's Millennium mine as well as their Firebag SAGD plant. Before that, Alex was a Co-op Student, Optimization & Automation at Husky Energy from September 2017 to August 2018. There, they worked in Husky's Oil Sands department in their Operational Excellence team assisting with the continual operational improvement of their Sunrise bitumen production site. Some notable projects Alex worked on include water plant and steam generation plant performance testing, data mining and proper presentation to provide a thorough understanding of the operation and critical operating parameters of the plant, and learning and presenting on major sections of the plant to other Co-op and EIT students.

Alex Morris has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (Process) from Queen's University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (Process) from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University.

Alex Morris reports to Chris Parker, Partner. They are on a team with Ben Millen - Senior Industrial Design Engineer, Shane Burnett - Senior Embedded Designer, and Cam Rankin - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. A direct report to Alex Morris is and Susanna Cabana - Project Coordinator & Business Administrator.
