Mario Bento

Mario Bento has extensive experience in flight operations and training, currently serving as the Director of Flight Operations at TAP Air Portugal since January 2014. In addition to this role, Mario serves as a Type Rating Instructor for the A-330, as well as Flight Operations Training Director and Head of Operations Projects & Budget Control. Prior to these roles, Mario held the position of Head of Training at TAP Air Portugal ATO from August 2018 to June 2021. Mario's aviation career began in the Força Aérea Portuguesa as a Piloto Aviador from September 1979 to January 1991. Academic qualifications include a Licenciatura in Ciências Militares from the Academia da Força Aérea and completion of Undergraduate Pilot Training at the United States Air Force between 1983 and 1985.
