Amanda Laurent

Amanda Laurent is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Taphandles since June 2021. Prior to this role, Amanda gained valuable experience as an Engineering Intern at LifeFormations, contributing to the design of mechanisms for animatronic characters at attractions in Sweden and Vietnam. Earlier, Amanda worked as a Ride Operator at Cedar Point Amusement Park, where responsibilities included ensuring guest safety on Top Thrill Dragster, and engaging with guests to enhance their experience. Amanda's technical background also includes a co-op/internship at QuEST Global, assisting with the safety and efficiency of engine parts for commercial and military aircraft. Amanda's career began as Head Lifeguard at The Lodge Des Peres. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, specializing in Multidisciplinary Engineering, from Purdue University.
