Anna Selway

Anna Selway has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Anna started their career in 2014 as an Innovation and Digital Literacies Champion at the University of Southampton, where they focused on developing digital literacy skills for staff and students. In 2018, they worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Middlesex University, delivering lectures on music analysis to first-year undergraduates. Anna also served as a Visiting Researcher at Utrecht University during the same year, collaborating with the music similarity lab to give a guest lecture and complete a journal paper.

In 2019, Anna joined Documation Software Ltd as a Support Analyst, where they resolved complex customer issues and developed Power BI reports. Anna then transitioned to a leadership role as a Data Team Lead at Zupa in 2020. In this position, they orchestrated and implemented the data analytics strategy, championing data as a business asset for the company. Anna also worked as a Data Analyst at Zupa before taking on the lead role.

Most recently, Anna has been working at Tasman since 2022, initially as an Analytics Engineer and currently as a Senior Analytics Engineer. Their responsibilities in these roles include utilizing their analytics expertise to support the company's data-driven initiatives.

In addition to their professional experience, Anna has also been involved in educational roles. Anna worked as a Teaching Assistant and Books and Stories Scheme Student Mentor at the University of Southampton, where they supported students in improving their reading skills. Anna also served as a Demonstrator for the Masters Module "Online Social Networks," mentoring students and providing feedback on coursework portfolios.

Anna Selway has an extensive education history. Anna obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Web Science from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 2015 to 2020. Prior to their PhD, Anna earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Web Science from the same university, completing their studies in 2016. Anna's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from the University of Southampton, with studies spanning from 2012 to 2015.

Before attending university, Anna pursued their high school education. Anna attended The Henley College from 2010 to 2012, where they completed their A Levels. Prior to that, they studied at Ranelagh C of E School from 2005 to 2010, completing their GCSEs.

In addition to their academic education, Anna Selway obtained a certification as a dbt Developer from dbt Labs in August 2022.
