Simran Kaur has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Simran has worked at Tata Power-DDL since 2003, starting as a Talent Management Specialist and then progressing to roles such as Head of Group - External Training & Higher Education, Head of Group - Capability Building, Head of Group - Talent Acquisition, and finally currently serving as the Head of Group - HR Tech & Centre of Excellence. In their current role, they focus on implementing best HR strategic practices, improving employee happiness and experience, optimizing resources, and enhancing the technology landscape of HR. Prior to joining Tata Power-DDL, Simran worked at Techni Bharati Limited as an Executive Assistant from 2002 to 2003, and at SCR Sibelco N.V as an Executive Assistant from 2001 to 2002.

Simran Kaur's education history starts with their Bachelor of Arts degree in English, which they obtained from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Delhi University, from 1991 to 1994. Simran then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) with a specialization in Human Resource Development at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies from 2004 to 2006.

Simran Kaur attended several short-term programs and certification courses throughout their career. In 2013, they completed a program in HR Gurukul at Tata Management Training Centre. In 2015, they participated in a Certification Program in the Business Excellence Leaders Program at Tata Business Excellence Group.

In 2016, Simran Kaur attended a program in Strategic Human Resource Management at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The following year, in 2017, they completed a Modular Program in Achieving Your Leadership Potential at the Tata Management Training Centre.
