Omkar Avinash Shinde

Omkar Avinash Shinde has extensive experience in environmental management, currently serving as the Head of Environment Management at Tata Steel. Previous roles include Senior Area Manager for Environment Climate Change and Senior Manager for Environment (Climate Change) at the same company. Omkar is also a Visiting Faculty Member for the Post Graduate Diploma in Environment Management at JN Tata Vocational Training Institute and holds the position of Joint Secretary at the Association of Biotechnologists. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, completed in 2013, as well as a short-term program at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in 2019.
