Carmel Allen

Managing Director, Tate at Tate

Carmel Allen has extensive experience in various creative and marketing roles. Carmel started their career in 2000 as the Director of Health & Beauty at InStyle magazine. Carmel then worked as the Deputy Editor at Livingetc from 2004 to 2007 before becoming the Director of Marketing Communications at HEALS. In 2010, they held the position of Acting Editor at Livingetc and later became the Creative & Marketing Director at The Conran Shop. From 2011 to 2022, Carmel worked as a Creative & Marketing Professional, utilizing their skills in troubleshooting complex problems and building brands. Carmel also had a role as an Editor-in-Chief at GDR Creative Intelligence, where they edited the Global Innovation Report. From 2013 to 2022, they were the Brand Champion at Heal's. In 2015, they became the Creative Director at LINLEY London. Currently, they hold the positions of CEO at Tate Commerce and Managing Director at Tate.

Carmel Allen obtained a BA joint hons degree in Geography, Art, and Archaeology from the University of London between 1984 and 1988.
