Souvik Bhattacharyya

Souvik Bhattacharyya has an extensive work experience in the field of academia and research. Souvik is currently serving as the Senior Vice President at TCG CREST, a renowned research institute dedicated to knowledge creation and dissemination. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Academic Advisor at TCG CREST. Before joining TCG CREST, Souvik served as the Vice Chancellor of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Souvik has also worked as the Deputy Director at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and as the Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Souvik's early experience includes the role of Dean, Students' Affairs at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Souvik Bhattacharyya completed their Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BME) degree at Jadavpur University from 1976 to 1981. Souvik then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati from 1983 to 1985. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University between 1987 and 1991.
