George Winn

Mr. Winn is the Head of Investment Operations, managing all of the middle and back office functions for the firm. Those functions include trade communication and settlement, cash and asset reconciliation, derivatives operation and collateral management, corporate action monitoring and processing, and coordinating opening of global markets. Mr. Winn joined TCW in 1994, and, during his tenure at TCW, has served in various capacities from being a fund accountant to managing the entire U.S. mutual fund operations. He was appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as the Assistant Treasurer to the TCW Funds from 2001-2019 and, when TCW created the Luxembourg fund family, he was appointed to serve as the Chief Risk Officer from 2014-2017. His other duties have included overseeing separately managed accounts and limited partnerships, primarily in the international securities sector as well as heading the investment valuation group. He is a member of the firm’s Valuation, Enterprise Risk Management, and Fixed Income Trading and Allocation Committees. Prior to joining TCW, Mr. Winn was a Senior Accountant with the audit firm KPMG. Mr. Winn graduated with Honors from Claremont McKenna College where he received a BA in Economics and Accounting. Mr. Winn is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
