Dorrell Wenninger

Dorrell Wenninger has a strong background in meteorology and forecasting. Dorrell began their career as a forecaster and talent at MSU, where they worked from 2007 to 2009. Dorrell then joined WLOX-TV as a news crew member and backup meteorologist for a brief period before moving on to Gray Television, where they worked as a meteorologist from 2010 to 2015. Dorrell then joined Media General as a meteorologist for a few months before landing a position at Nexstar Media Group, Inc., where they worked as a meteorologist from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, they have been working as the Chief Meteorologist at TDS® since 2018.

Dorrell Wenninger pursued an Associate's degree in General Studies & Pre-Meteorology at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College from 2004 to 2006. Later, from 2006 to 2009, Dorrell completed a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
