Jane Phipps

Jane Phipps has a diverse range of work experience across various companies and industries. Jane began their career at Telstra as a Senior Project and Program Manager, where they successfully implemented cost-saving measures and improved productivity. Jane then worked as a Business and Change Consultant at the Department of Justice, where they demonstrated excellent negotiation skills and fostered cooperation in a challenging environment. At Swinburne University of Technology, Jane served as an Associate Director, implementing process realignment strategies and creating high-performance teams. Jane later joined Actuose as a Principal Consultant and Director of Education Practice, expanding the company's brand and successfully completing a large-scale rebranding project. As a Management Consultant, Jane focused on continuous improvement and program management, designing professional development courses and applying Lean Six Sigma principles. In their most recent role as Chief Operating Officer at Teach For Australia, Jane has restructured teams, developed strategic priorities, and aligned initiatives with the organization's growth vision. Overall, Jane has proven herself as a strategic leader with a track record of driving success and growth in various industries.

Jane Phipps has a diverse education history. In 1987-1993, they attended the University of Tasmania and earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics. In 2007, they attended ACPM and obtained an ADV DIP PM degree in project management. Additionally, they have obtained various accreditations from Telstra in 2005, including Six Sigma, Accelerated Change and Facilitation, Design for Six Sigma, and LEAN Practitioner. In 2018, they received an accreditation in Agile Project Management from The Knowledge Academy. Looking to the future, Jane plans to pursue a Certificate in Business Psychology from Learning Cloud, starting in 2023 and ending in 2024. In addition to their formal education, Jane has also obtained certifications in The Resilience Advantage from the HeartMath Institute in August 2023, Mental Health First Aid Accredited from Mental Health First Aid Australia in April 2023, and Psychological Safety: Clear Blocks to Innovation, Collaboration, and Risk-Taking from LinkedIn in February 2023.
