John Steenbakkers

John Steenbakkers has extensive work experience in the medical field, specifically in sales and accounts management. John started working at Alcon Surgical in 1999 and held various roles, including National Accounts Director and Division Manager. John was responsible for managing relationships and negotiating corporate deals with Private Equity-owned customers in the Cataract/Refractive ophthalmic space. In 2020, they joined TearLab Corporation, where they initially served as the Director of Strategic Accounts and is currently the Head of US Sales.

John Steenbakkers received their Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from the University of Utah in 1998. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Arts - AA degree at Ricks College from 1991 to 1995. In 1992, they also spent a period of time as a missionary in Czechoslovakia with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from 1992 to 1994.
