Sherwin Carr, M.S.,MBA

Sherwin Carr, M.S., MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, they serve as a Project and Portfolio Manager at Tech Systems. Beginning in 2012, Sherwin worked at Northland Controls where they held various roles, including Integration Engineering Manager and Applications Engineer. As Integration Engineering Manager, they oversaw the Integration Engineering team and collaborated with the Project Management team to ensure client needs were met. Sherwin also worked closely with the Director of Professional Services to implement company policies and ensure technological consistency globally. During their time as an Applications Engineer, Sherwin was responsible for configuring, testing, and providing technical support for multiple Access and Video Management Systems. This included tasks such as integration, installation, troubleshooting, and customer end-user training. Sherwin's previous experience includes working at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Systems Engineer and Security Systems Administrator, where they provided engineering support, gathered customer requirements, and maintained the Lenel OnGuard Access Control System. Prior to that, they worked at General Dynamics Information Technology as a Security/Visitor Control Specialist, and at Vance Federal Security Services Inc as an Access Control Officer. Sherwin's career began in the US Army, where they served as a Sergeant/Squad Leader.

Sherwin Carr completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from Montgomery College in 2007. Sherwin then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, completing it in 2010. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the same university, completing their studies in 2019.

In 2019, Sherwin Carr enrolled in the University of Maryland Global Campus once again and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2020.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Sherwin Carr also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they acquired the Avigilon Level 1 and Level 2 certifications from Avigilon. Sherwin also obtained the C.Cure 9000 System Installer/Maintainer certification from Tyco in the same year. In 2016, they earned the Axis Certified Professional certification from Axis Communications. Subsequently, they obtained the Lenel Certified Expert and i-PRO & Video InSight certifications from Lenel Systems International and Panasonic Security Solutions, respectively, in 2018. In 2017, they acquired the S2 Security Certification from S2 Security Corporation.
