Michael Brandhorst

Michael Brandhorst began their career in 2004 as a Remote Automation Specialist at Applied Control Equipment, where they were responsible for wellhead automation installation and support. In 2010, they joined WPX Energy as the Supervisor of SCADA Technical Support, where they provided team leadership and guidance for 6 WPX SCADA support and engineering staff, plus 8-10 contractors and vendors across multiple states. Michael also oversaw and participated in critical projects related to all WPX SCADA systems updates and upgrades, including CygNet SCADA 8. In this role, they employed steady and robust leadership to complete the CygNet SCADA divestitures of both the Piceance and Marcellus Basins, managed and partnered with several departments to properly scope and work through the new SCADA and radio communications projects for the San Juan Basin 3rd party hosted SCADA migration and the RKI acquisition, and prepared and delivered critical automation and CygNet SCADA training to the Piceance, San Juan, and Williston Basin asset teams. In 2022, Michael Brandhorst joined Techneaux Technology Services as a Project Manager, where they are responsible for helping ensure the success of Techneaux’s customer projects. Michael oversees all aspects of the projects, particularly the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and scope. Michael also coordinates with Techneaux and customer stakeholders to set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of projects via reports for upper management regarding project status and risks.

Michael Brandhorst's education history includes an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Paradise Valley Community College, obtained between 1995 and 1997, and Computer Information Systems studies at Arizona State University from 1997 to 1999.
