Preston Miller

Preston Miller is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as the Lead of Technology and Innovation at Teck Resources Limited since September 2016. In this role, Preston manages the corporate Ideas @ Work program, facilitating the testing and evaluation of emerging technologies for operational deployment. Prior to this, Preston held various leadership positions in business improvement and technology initiatives at Teck, achieving significant cost reductions and productivity improvements. Previous experience includes roles at BHP Billiton as a Business Improvement Specialist and Senior Mine Planning Engineer, along with early engineering positions at Usibelli Coal Mine Inc. and internships at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Kiewit, and Fluor Corporation. Preston holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
