Sari Viinikainen

Sari Viinikainen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Sari began their career as a Registered Nurse in the Central Finland Health Care District in 2002 and worked there until 2007. Sari then served as a Head Nurse in the Pirkanmaa Hospital District from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, they returned to the Central Finland Health Care District and took on the role of Head Nurse until 2013. During this time, they also served as a Director of Nursing from 2010 to 2012. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Service Manager in the same organization. In 2014, they joined the City of Helsinki, Social Services and Health Care as a Director of Nursing. In 2015, they moved to the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) as a Director of Nursing Services. Since 2019, they have been working at Tehy ry, initially as a Member of the Executive Committee and later as a Development Manager. Sari'smost recent position is Director, which they have held since June 2021.

Sari Viinikainen obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing Science from the University of Tampere 1925-2018 from 2009 to 2015. In 2007, they completed their Master's degree in Nursing Science at the University of Eastern Finland.
