Justin Jarrell, PhD has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. In 2021, they joined Teiko.bio as Associate Director Business Development and Senior Scientist, Medical Strategy. From 2017 to 2018, Justin worked as an Analyst Intern at CRV and Consultant at Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc. Justin also worked as a Research Intern at Agilent Technologies from 2015 to 2017.

Justin began their career in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Santa Clara University, where they discovered a novel gene encoding a transcription factor that regulates carbohydrate transport and metabolism in C. crescentus. From 2009 to 2018, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and PhD Doctoral Scientist in Immunology at Stanford University, where they executed an in vivo study to evaluate the pathogenicity of anti-IL-1 receptor antagonist (anti-IL-1RA) autoantibodies in a murine model of fibrosis and led research leading to the discovery of a novel autoantibody-mediated disease pathway in patients with a rare and fatal fibroinflammatory disorder (IgG4-Related Disease).

Justin Jarrell, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a B.S in Biology from Santa Clara University in 2009, with minors in Chemistry and Biotechnology.
