Sarah Pillar

Sarah Pillar has a diverse work experience across various roles and companies. Sarah started their career as an Administration Assistant at Pritchard Francis in 2009 and worked there until 2013. In 2014, they joined KZ Speech as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, where they provided assessment and intervention to a broad pediatric caseload, including working in regional centers. Sarah also conducted diagnostic assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorders and ran Triple P Positive Parenting support sessions. In 2017, Sarah joined Telethon Kids Institute as a Project Coordinator and Speech Pathologist. Sarah later took on roles as a Research Project Manager and currently holds the position of Research Development Manager. Sarah Pillar completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (Hons) from Edith Cowan University in 2013. Sarah then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Early Childhood Development at The University of Western Australia from 2018 to 2024.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Sarah has obtained several certifications. These include becoming a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist from Speech Pathology Australia in 2012, completing the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) Mod 1, 2 for Research at La Trobe University in 2017, and becoming an Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale (ADOS-2) - Trainer from The University of Western Australia in 2022. Sarah has also acquired certifications in Reducing Risk, Restraint, and Restriction from Team Teach Ltd in 2018, and a Certificate IV in Retail Management from ARA Retail Institute in 2009. Furthermore, Sarah has completed training courses such as PART: Predict, Assess & Respond To Aggressive/Challenging Behavior, Picky Eaters vs Problem Feeders - SOS Approach to Feeding, SOS Advanced Topics: Feeding the 6-16 Month Old Child & Feeding the Child on the Autism Spectrum, and Level 4 Group Stepping Stones Triple P at various institutions.
