David Sharp

David Sharp has a varied work experience in the healthcare industry. David currently serves as the Head of Telstra Health UK, where they are responsible for guiding and supporting the company's strategic roadmap for expansion into the UK and international markets.

Prior to this, David worked at UnitedHealth Group as the Senior Vice President in Optum, a global division of the company. In this role, they provided practical solutions to healthcare challenges such as patient care, aging populations, genomic technology, workforce development, and information utilization.

Before joining UnitedHealth Group, David held positions at NHS England as the Director for Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, overseeing various national and regional responsibilities. David was also the Chief Executive of NHS Derby City and NHS Derbyshire County, as well as NHS Derbyshire.

With a strong background in finance and commissioning, David served as the Chief Executive and Director of Commissioning and Informatics at NHS Derbyshire. David also held the role of Chief Executive and Director of Finance at NHS Nottinghamshire County.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise and leadership in healthcare management, strategic planning, and partnership development.

David Sharp earned their Master of Arts degree in Financial Mathematics from Leeds Beckett University, where they attended from 1999 to 2001. David later pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business/Managerial Economics at Nottingham Trent University, which they completed from 2006 to 2010.
