John Briney

Head of Brand at TemperPack

John Briney began their career in 2009 as the Lead Designer for emotive, llc, where they designed and developed candidate websites, microsites, and advertisements during the 2010 election season. In 2012, they became an Intern and then a Creative Technologist at The Martin Agency, where they helped craft a pitch for Pinnacle Vodka and design a savings platform for Walmart customers. In 2013, they became a Creative at Translation LLC, where they helped introduce NBA fans to Kaiser Permanente, rethought packaging design for McDonald's, threw concerts with Jay-Z for Budweiser, and designed 'shoeflakes' to sell Jordans at Champs Sports. In 2015, they were a Freelance Creative at MullenLowe Profero, where they crafted fully-designed, print/web/OOH/display/insert/post pieces for clients. In 2016, they were a Freelance Senior Art Director at DIRECTV, where they helped the company throw a Super Bowl party with T-Swift, businesses buy ad space across devices, and host a major event for all of its largest business accounts. Finally, in 2017, John Briney joined TemperPack as the Head of Brand and Director of Marketing, where they led the company through a full rebranding effort that included developing the logo and systems of design, a brand voice, product photography, sales materials and videos, redeveloping the website, office space, and on-product messaging.

John Briney obtained their Masters of Science from VCU Brandcenter in the field of Mass Communication/Media Studies and their Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in the fields of Political Science, Studio Art, and History.
