Rishi Bhakar

VP, ASEI at Tenaska

Rishi Bhakar is currently the VP at Tenaska. Prior to that, they were with the American Red Cross, Energy Web Foundation, AutoGrid, and ACG Global - Association for Corporate Growth. Rishi has also been a Board Member and Treasurer for the Nebraska Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Bhakar has a long history of working in various companies related to investment banking, software development, and consulting. Rishi started their career at ADP as a Business Analyst and then transitioned to Software Developer. After a few years at ADP, they left to become a Consultant at Intel Corporation. From there, they went to Wedbush Securities as an Investment Banking Associate before joining the American Red Cross.

At the American Red Cross, Bhakar was responsible for M&A advisory and capital raises for companies in environmental services, industrials, and IT sectors. Rishi then transitioned to working in CDFIs (Community Development Financial Institutions) where they were a Board Member for Spark Capital CDFI. In this role, they helped with the holistic neighborhood transformation of disadvantaged communities using CDFI financing.

Bhakar’s experience with various companies has given him the skillset needed to be successful in their current role as VP at Tenaska. Rishi is able to utilize their experience in investment banking, software development, and consulting to help Tenaska grow and succeed.

Rishi Bhakar has an MBA in finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, a Bachelor of Engineering in computers from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
