Tommy Mermelshtayn, CFA has a wealth of experience in the financial industry. Tommy began their career in 2006 as a Contractor at Greenwich Investment Management. In 2007, they worked as an Analyst/Project Manager at IntelliSec Ltd and as a Partner at Safe Skies Australia. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Senior Consultant and Senior Research Analyst at Path Independent. In 2011, they joined Veda as Head of Strategy and New Markets, and New Markets, Strategy and Partnerships Manager. In 2017, they became Director of Pocketbook and Co Lead Open Banking Working Group at FinTech Australia. In 2022, they took on the roles of Director at Zip Türkiye and TendoPay. Tommy is currently Chief Strategy Officer at Zip Co, a leading global Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) company.

Tommy Mermelshtayn, CFA obtained their PhD in Finance from the University of New South Wales - Australian School of Business between 2007 and 2011. Tommy also earned a BS in Finance and Information Systems from the NYU Stern School of Business between 1998 and 2002.
