Benjamin Nault has a wealth of experience in a variety of fields. Benjamin began their career in 2010 as a Water Safety Instructor/Lifeguard for ISD 911 in Cambridge, MN. In 2012, they worked as a Public Works Employee for the City of Cambridge. In 2013, they were a Ticketing Coordinator for CSB/SJU Fine Arts Programming. In 2014, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, where they studied Atmospheric Aerosols and learned to program in C++. In 2015, they worked as a Warehouse Associate for Vanpro-Inc and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, where they designed, constructed, and implemented a solar tracking mechanism. In 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Benjamin used QGIS and Python to improve transit accessibility calculations, worked with a Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA) model, and taught the laboratory session of the undergraduate Introduction to Transportation Engineering course. In 2020, they were a Software Engineer at Bentley Systems. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Solution Engineer at Teralytics.

Benjamin Nault has a diverse educational background. Benjamin obtained a High School Diploma from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2012. Benjamin then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Applied Physics from Saint John's University in 2015. In 2016, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Civil (Transportation) Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, they have obtained a variety of certifications from Coursera and LinkedIn, as well as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification from NCEES in 2018.
