Ilya Rakitin

Ilya Rakitin has been working in the software engineering field since 2005. From 2005 to 2011, they worked at Itransition as a Java Developer and Business Analyst. During this time, they were responsible for functional development using J2EE, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, C#, MSSQL Server, and Javascript+DHTML. Ilya also was involved in requirements elicitation, specification, management, and GUI prototyping, using tools such as Caliber RM, Axure, and Enterprise Architect. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at WorkFusion as a Senior Java Developer. From 2013 to 2014, they worked at IDEXX Laboratories as a Senior Java Developer. From 2014 to present, they have been working at Teralytics in various roles, including Product Development Lead, Software Engineering Manager, Senior Staff Software Engineer, Staff Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. At Teralytics, they are responsible for processing anonymized data from over 400 million people to deliver valuable information about location, mobility, demographics, and online behavior.

Ilya Rakitin received their Master of Computer Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Belarusian State University between 2001 and 2006. Ilya has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Natural Language Processing (May 2013), Data Analysis (March 2013), Probabilistic Graphical Models (December 2012), Neural Networks for Machine Learning (November 2012), and Machine Learning (October 2012). Additionally, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in November 2020.
