Reto Schöning

Reto Schöning has worked in the software engineering field since 1995. Their first role was as a Software Developer and Consultant at EBP. In 2000, they moved to ETH Zürich as a Software Developer. In 2004, they took on the role of Technical Lead and Software Developer at eneia. In 2005, they joined ESRI Schweiz AG as a Technical Lead, Software Engineer, and Consultant. Reto was responsible for the Technical lead for the project TOPGIS (data production system for swiss federal office of topography - swisstopo) as well as the creation of the "ProSuite" product for geographic data production and quality assurance. In 2019, they began their current role as Senior Software Engineer at Teralytics.

Reto Schöning obtained their Master of Science in Geography, Geographic Information Science from the University of Zurich between 1989 and 1996. In 2018 and 2019, they attended ETH Zürich and earned a CAS in Computer Science. Reto also holds certifications from EPFLx in Scala-ReactiveX: Programming Reactive Systems (obtained in November 2019) and from EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) in Functional Programming in Scala, a 5-course specialization by École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne on Coursera (obtained in November 2018).
