Juan Pedro Cano has extensive work experience in the environmental sector. Juan Pedro is currently serving as the Forest Carbon Accelerator sourcing and partnerships lead for Latam at Terraformation since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Coordinador general at Mesa de Carbono Forestal Nacional de Argentina starting in July 2022.
Juan Pedro Cano is also the Socio Fundador of CICLA Sustentable since May 2020. Juan Pedro has previously worked as a Consultor Especialista Ambiental at The World Bank starting in February 2020. Juan Pedro was involved in various projects, including school improvement in Laos, meetings with environmental specialists, and organic production in Australia.
In 2012, Juan Pedro Cano worked at The World Bank as a Consultor Especialista Ambiental, where they supervised different projects and coordinated with governmental organizations and civil society. Juan Pedro also held the position of Especialista Ambiental Junior / Junior Professional Associate at The World Bank, where they coordinated projects related to environmental sanitation and waste management.
Juan Pedro Cano's early work experience includes a role as an Asistente en el Área de Normativa Ambiental at the Agencia de Protección Ambiental de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, where they were involved in the regulation and analysis of environmental laws.

In 2019, they completed a program in Biodiversidad en Estudios de Impacto Ambiental at Instituto Interamericano de Desarrollo Económico y Social - Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo.
In the same year, they also completed a program in Project Management at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.
Juan Pedro Cano has pursued a degree in Abogado (Lawyer) with a specialization in Derecho Ambiental (Environmental Law) from the University of Buenos Aires, although the start and end years for this degree are not provided.
Currently, they are pursuing a Maestria en Planificación y Evaluación de Políticas Públicas (Master's degree in Planning and Evaluation of Public Policies) in the field of Ciencias políticas y gobierno (Political Science and Government) at Universidad Nacional de San Martín.
