Jessica Ta has accumulated a diverse range of work experience in the aerospace industry. Jessica began their career as an Engineering Support Propulsion Intern at Aerojet Rocketdyne in 2016. From there, they joined the Michigan Aeronautical Science Association (MASA) as the Propulsion/Avionics Sub Team Lead in September 2014, later transitioning to become the Propulsion Team Lead in June 2016.
In 2017, Jessica joined SpaceX as an Integration and Test Engineer, a role they held until January 2019. Following their time at SpaceX, they worked as a Mechanical Operations Engineer at Virgin Galactic from July 2019 to February 2022.
Jessica then joined ABL Space Systems as a Launch and Test Engineer in March 2022, concluding their tenure in December of the same year. Currently, they are working at Terran Orbital Corporation as a Launch Systems Engineer, having started in January 2023.
Throughout their career, Jessica Ta has gained substantial experience in various roles within the aerospace industry, specifically in propulsion, avionics, mechanical operations, integration and testing, and launch systems engineering.
Jessica Ta completed their education in engineering with a focus on aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering. Jessica first attended College of the Canyons from 2012 to 2014, and later transferred to the University of Michigan where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree from 2014 to 2016.
