Lead Software Test Engineer at Terran Orbital

Valerio Scheleter has a strong background in engineering and testing, with experience at various companies. Valerio currently works as a Senior Systems Test Engineer at Terran Orbital Corporation, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Virgin Orbit from 2016 to 2023, holding multiple roles including Lead Software Test Engineer, Senior Avionics Test Engineer, and Avionics Test Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for developing and executing automated testing solutions for avionics hardware, designing sensor simulators, and performing environmental testing. Before Virgin Orbit, Valerio worked as an Associate Manufacturing Test Engineer at Tesla Motors in 2015. Valerio started their career as an Application Engineer at National Instruments in 2012, where they provided technical support, troubleshooting, and customer education on the company's product line.

Valerio Scheleter has an extensive education history in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Valerio started their education journey at the University of Colorado Denver in 2011, where they worked as a Visitor Researcher and focused on their Master's thesis. In 2012, they obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Università degli studi Roma TRE. During their studies, Valerio also had the opportunity to be an ERASMUS exchange student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2010. Prior to their Master's degree, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Università degli studi Roma TRE from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their academic achievements, Valerio Scheleter has obtained certifications from National Instruments. These include the NI Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD), NI Certified Professional Instructor (CPI), and NI Certified TestStand Developer (CTD).
