Associate Engineer at Terray Therapeutics

Lydia Cheng is currently an Associate Scientist at Terray Therapeutics. Prior to this, they were a Coatings R&D Engineering Intern at NBD Nanotechnologies in 2020. From 2018-2020, they held two roles: a Paint Process Engineering Specialist at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and a Plastics R&D Engineering Intern at IPEX Group of Companies. In 2017, they were a Carbon Nanotechnology Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. While at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, they participated in cost savings activities, resulting in $400 000 in annual savings for Lexus Paint. At IPEX Group of Companies, they developed PVC formulations and prototypes for System XFR to meet Canadian flame and smoke requirements. At the University of Waterloo, they investigated the use of graphene-polymer composites for oil-water separation.

Lydia Cheng attended the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nanotechnology Engineering.
